Fireworks

I took my daughter to the fireworks last night. It was fun but she doesn't like them as much as I did when I was little. She thinks they're pretty but hates the "big booms". They turned out to be pretty good but they just don't last long enough!

When I was self-employed, I had to buy some business cards. I couldn't afford much of anything since I was just starting a business on my own. I looked all over the internet and found VistaPrint. The product quality is good and is worth the money. They are very inexpensive and definitely worth it. They have car magnets, which I think would be cool to advertise your business. I would recommend them to anybody. When my husband got started with his business, he ordered products through there too. You can even order rubber stamps for yourself, you don't even have to have a business! So, whether you're starting a business or just a regular family, you should check them out. It will be worth your time and money!

Noberto "Bert" Diaz

So, I've been reading Bert's Blog about a guy named Noberto Diaz. He sounds like he would be someone I would want for my daughter to have as an educator. He directed an alternative school for urban youth as a principal. He is fluent in three languages and has so many degrees and certificates, I can't even count them all! He uses his music to inspire the children and the parents trust him. He has been a teacher, an educator, and a principal. These days, we need more teachers and educators like him. It is important to me that my daughter gets a great education and I would hope she would have teachers like him.

Speed of the Internet

I get so frustrated sometimes with my internet connection! It is a cable connection, not a dial-up, so it should be fast. Of course, the times that I need it to be fast, it isn't. It is very frustrating! It seems like for the money that I have to pay for it, it should be faster! Maybe I am just an impatient person, lol.

Wheelfire Tires and Rims

Now that summer is here, people are getting out their "toys". What I mean by "toys" are their hot rods or old-fashioned cars and trucks. I love to see them and I am kind of jealous of people that have them. I like to see the vehicles that people really took the time to work on and they made them look awesome. The tires and rims really make a vehicle look a lot different. I have found this place online called Wheelfire. They have discount wheels and rims. They also have tons of packages and specials. The cool part is that it has all of these discounted items for cars, trucks, and suv's. That'll be my next purchase for my truck! So, go online and look at the discounted wheels and rims.

New "90210"

I read on the internet that they are coming out with a new "90210". It's supposed to be when everyone is grown up. I am so excited! I know, I know, I need to grow up but I used to love that show. I watched it all the time! Sometimes I even watch repeats of it on t.v. if I can find them. I will have to check it out when it comes out.

There is a restaurant in our town that has been for sale for a long time. I have always considered buying it and trying to make it work. I don't think the problem was ever the restaurant. I think it was the atmosphere of the restaurant. The seats were torn, the floors were gross, and the tables were falling apart. I did some searching and found a restaurant furniture site called Affordable Seating. This place has some wonderful furniture. They also have an online vinyl/finish preview tool, which is very cool. There delivery time is only 7 - 14 days! I would love to do it all and I have a friend who is an excellent cook. I think it'd work out great but I think I have a lot more money to save up! Exhaustion

I am so.... unbelievably tired today! I feel like I've been beat up! I barely got any sleep last night. I'm sure you've all had those nights where you're just staring at the clock all night. That was me last night. So, all day I've been fighting it. This is one of those days where I feel like I could sleep for 12 hours straight!

Silly Excuses Not To Have Lasik

I have heard a lot of reasons for people not to have lasik eye surgery. I will tell you my excuse. My excuse is that it's too expensive. Now, if I thought about it rationally, I would realize I'm probably spending more money on glasses every year. The price of dog food

I am so disgusted! I just went to the store to get dog food. It used to be like $15.00, then $18.00, and now it's $23.00!!!! It is ridiculous how the prices of everything keep going up and up but my pay for my job certainly isn't. Needless to say, I ended up finding something different for her. I hate to change her food but unless I get rich sometime soon, I just can't afford it!.

Hector Kabande is a renowned cook. He is known for his spicy Mexican food. I was just reading about this guy on the internet. He sounds pretty cool. I guess he formerly owned and operated restaurants. His friends and family would bring him hot peppers from their own gardens so he could make his spicy foods. I like spicy foods myself. I do have an ulcer though, so my stomach doesn't agree with it as much!

House Hunters

I am addicted to watching "House Hunters"!!! I do mean ADDICTED!!! I watch it everyday. I just hope they don't run out of shows, lol. I like to make bets with my husband on which house they're going to pick. Usually, we're both right.....not that I would admit any other time that he's right too, lol.

About three months ago, I spent about $1300 on our vehicle for new tires, inspections, etc. Tons and tons of things anyway. As much as it costs to get this stuff done, it is worth it for the safety of my family. They have expert collision repairers to fix vehicles after accidents. I found a site about jokes and humor and it is a pretty cool site. I don't have much of a sense of humor myself. Don't get me wrong, I like jokes and funny things but I just don't know how to tell them myself. On this site they have the funniest thing on there about the top 10 ways to get rid of a telemarketer. It is hilarious! I guess I shouldn't think it's funny because I have done telemarketing myself and know how it feels......but it is very funny! Check it out!

Work at home

I used to work at home and loved it for a while. I have to be honest though....I kind of got lazy. When I went back to work, I actually lost 8 pounds! I guess the way to work at home is if you are ABSOLUTELY dedicated to doing it and doing it on a schedule. Obviously, it didn't work out very well for me. If I had to do it over again, at least I would know now what to do differently.

Cool Baby Clothes

When my daughter was little, they had some nice things, but now the clothes you can find are different. They have some very cool baby clothes now. I found this store that has the cutest infant clothes. They have a wide range of unique and custom clothes. I always loved to shop when my daughter was that tiny. I could have spent everyday buying baby clothes and I wish she still fit in them. Of course, I wish she was still that small. Then, there's also the tie dye baby clothes. Tie dye is back and it is cuter than ever on newborns! Check out the store and see what you think.

Missing Family

My parents moved away last year, half way across the country. Now, I am really having a hard time with it. I am missing them so much lately. I talk to them all the time. Sometimes it's everyday but it just isn't the same. My Dad has always been my rock and it is very hard to be away from him. My Mom has always been there for me too. I might be an adult but it doesn't mean I don't still need them!!

There is a new t.v. show on called "Hopkins". I don't know if any of you have checked it out but it is an awesome show! It'll make you cry!! Tonight was the first night I watched it but it is very good. It's real life, which makes it even better.

Credit Counseling

My ex-husband really screwed my credit up and I was left to figure out all of our old credit card bills. I couldn't afford to pay for much of anything at all when we split up but we didn't have enough debt for me to consider bankruptcy or anything like that. I looked into finding a credit counseling service. I was just done with the phone calls and being worried constantly about these bills we owed. I looked into quite a few different options, including debt consolidation loans, debt management, and of course bankruptcy. I finally found a debt management company and it worked out pretty well. The phone calls stopped and I found out how to deal with my credit card debt, while improving my financial condition.

Summer time

I love summer time!!! The nice days make it so much better than getting up to it being so dark outside. The only thing I don't like about it is my allergies but I just started getting allergy shots about a month and a half ago, so they are getting better. I like to go fishing. My daughter loves to go fishing and I love to watch her face when she catches a fish! It makes for a great family day!

Wimbledon Tickets

Oh, I am so ready for the Wimbledon tennis tournament! Who isn't? The talk is all over the place. I have never been to it before but would love to score some tickets. I would love to get a whole group of us together and get some good seats! I think it would be awesome. I have a friend that has been there before and she loved it, her seats were really good. She said she could see everything and it was much better than watching it all on television. For a whole group of us to go, it would be cheaper to all go together and we would have a great time! It's hard to find a good sport to watch but this is one of the few sports I can sit through and really enjoy. I really like to watch the older groups. It fascinates me at how good they can be since they are so much more experienced. Sometimes, I wish I could do that kind of stuff. So, if you want to get Wimbledon tournament tickets, you have to check it out! I'm sure there are more people excited about it than just me.

The Flu

I somehow got the flu! Yuck! I have had two days of nothing but sleep and hitting the toilet! I have certainly had enough of it! Anyway, I'm finally feeling better today. I didn't think I was gonig to make it for a while there, lol. I guess I'm a big baby! Anyway, I'm just glad the puking is all over!!
