I am so disgusted! I just went to the store to get dog food. It used to be like $15.00, then $18.00, and now it's $23.00!!!! It is ridiculous how the prices of everything keep going up and up but my pay for my job certainly isn't. Needless to say, I ended up finding something different for her. I hate to change her food but unless I get rich sometime soon, I just can't afford it!.

Hector Kabande
Hector Kabande is a renowned cook. He is known for his spicy Mexican food. I was just reading about this guy on the internet. He sounds pretty cool. I guess he formerly owned and operated restaurants. His friends and family would bring him hot peppers from their own gardens so he could make his spicy foods. I like spicy foods myself. I do have an ulcer though, so my stomach doesn't agree with it as much!

House Hunters
I am addicted to watching "House Hunters"!!! I do mean ADDICTED!!! I watch it everyday. I just hope they don't run out of shows, lol. I like to make bets with my husband on which house they're going to pick. Usually, we're both right.....not that I would admit any other time that he's right too, lol.
Auto Body Repair
About three months ago, I spent about $1300 on our vehicle for new tires, inspections, etc. Tons and tons of things anyway. As much as it costs to get this stuff done, it is worth it for the safety of my family. They have expert collision repairers to fix vehicles after accidents. As a former insurance agent, these are the experts you want to go to if you get into an accident.
Dinner Ideas
I need some dinner ideas. I am so tired of having the same dinners over and over. You can only have so much of the same stuff before you are so sick of it! So, if anyone has any easy ideas for me, I'm open...........just not seafood!!!
Jokes and Humor
I found a site about jokes and humor and it is a pretty cool site. I don't have much of a sense of humor myself. Don't get me wrong, I like jokes and funny things but I just don't know how to tell them myself. On this site they have the funniest thing on there about the top 10 ways to get rid of a telemarketer. It is hilarious! I guess I shouldn't think it's funny because I have done telemarketing myself and know how it feels......but it is very funny! Check it out!
Work at home
I used to work at home and loved it for a while. I have to be honest though....I kind of got lazy. When I went back to work, I actually lost 8 pounds! I guess the way to work at home is if you are ABSOLUTELY dedicated to doing it and doing it on a schedule. Obviously, it didn't work out very well for me. If I had to do it over again, at least I would know now what to do differently.

Cool Baby Clothes
Missing Family
My parents moved away last year, half way across the country. Now, I am really having a hard time with it. I am missing them so much lately. I talk to them all the time. Sometimes it's everyday but it just isn't the same. My Dad has always been my rock and it is very hard to be away from him. My Mom has always been there for me too. I might be an adult but it doesn't mean I don't still need them!!
Hopkins
There is a new t.v. show on called "Hopkins". I don't know if any of you have checked it out but it is an awesome show! It'll make you cry!! Tonight was the first night I watched it but it is very good. It's real life, which makes it even better.
Credit Counseling
My ex-husband really screwed my credit up and I was left to figure out all of our old credit card bills. I couldn't afford to pay for much of anything at all when we split up but we didn't have enough debt for me to consider bankruptcy or anything like that. I looked into finding a credit counseling service. I was just done with the phone calls and being worried constantly about these bills we owed. I looked into quite a few different options, including debt consolidation loans, debt management, and of course bankruptcy. I finally found a debt management company and it worked out pretty well. The phone calls stopped and I found out how to deal with my credit card debt, while improving my financial condition.
Summer time
I love summer time!!! The nice days make it so much better than getting up to it being so dark outside. The only thing I don't like about it is my allergies but I just started getting allergy shots about a month and a half ago, so they are getting better. I like to go fishing. My daughter loves to go fishing and I love to watch her face when she catches a fish! It makes for a great family day!
Wimbledon Tickets
The Flu
I somehow got the flu! Yuck! I have had two days of nothing but sleep and hitting the toilet! I have certainly had enough of it! Anyway, I'm finally feeling better today. I didn't think I was gonig to make it for a while there, lol. I guess I'm a big baby! Anyway, I'm just glad the puking is all over!!

A place to get work boots
My husband used to get his work boots through work. Then, they took it out of his pay. Which, to me seems a little ridiculous. So, we finally decided it was time to go shopping on our own. So, we did a lot of searching and found work boots. It is also a lot easier than going shopping for mens work boots!

Multiplication in 2nd grade!!!
My daughter has started coming home with multiplication papers in 2nd grade! When did that happen? When I was in second grade, we were probably still learning addition, possibly subtraction too. It is crazy! I just can't believe how much things have changed over the years.
The hail outside
It hailed outside today. I couldn't believe it. It started raining and then about 3 minutes later, it just started hailing. There was a section in the grass that looked like someone had poured a big bag of salt in it. They were big pieces. It was nasty!

HD Televisions
So, my t.v. finally died on me. I've had it for a long time but it just decided to quit on me. Now, I have to look for a new one. For now, I have a little television that I got free but it is HD. I can't really tell the different with the HD but I think it's because the t.v. is just too small. I dread spending that much money! LOL
Major downfall hit
At about 7:20 pm, we had a wicked downfall of rain tonight. It was crazy! We had power outages, trees down, lines down. I couldn't believe it. It went from being sunny to a major storm. It looked like a tornado. It wasn't one but it looked liked one. It left quite a mess around my area. It's so hard to believe weather can change that quickly and then change back again. The rain is gone again but according to the weather man, it's supposed to rain again.
Insurance Companies
I used to be an insurance agent. As a matter of fact, I still have my license for another two weeks or so. With actually writing policies, I learned quite a bit about the cost and coverage for insurance. I also learned that as I sold it, I could understand why prices were high. BUT....since I am a regular customer with insurance myself, it is a whole different story. As an agent, it all makes sense what kind of coverage you have and how much it comes to in the end. Do I think it's expensive as an agent? Yes, I still do. Especially now that most companies are basing their premiums off of your credit score. Which, I think is ridiculous!! As a customer with insurance myself, I think the prices are high but I guess I gave up because we HAVE to have it to drive a vehicle or to own a home that's mortgaged. As if everything else in the world isn't expensive! You have to shop around for the right insurance company to get the price that will reasonably fit in your budget. These days prices of gas for vans is outrageous so you always want the prices of insurance for your van to be better. Anyway for people to save money and get good coverage at the same time, is great!

A visit to the Zoo
We had so much fun the other day. We went to the zoo. I was a chaperone for the school and it was great! We saw so many animals but the cool part was the Bone Zone. It was a place with gravel and underneath it was dinosaur bones the kids could dig up. There were posters on the wall with the kind of dinosaur and what all of the bones were. It was just the neatest thing. I don't remember going when I was little but I'm sure I did. It was pretty neat anyway.
Blogging for PayPerPost
I found numerous posts about people who were blogging for PayPerPost on a message board I am part of. I did a lot of research on blogging for them and contacted someone else who was also doing it. So, I decided to sign up and do it! It has been great. The support I have gotten so far has been wonderful. I have met someone who could be a good friend. Plus, of course, I could really use the money. I mean, who doesn't have bills right?? It also kind of works around my schedule as far as when I can post for them. I like how much fun it is, especially since I like to be on the computer anyway and now it feels like I can actually have people read what I think and feel and they can even respond with a comment! From what I have done so far, I think blogging for PayPerPost will be a great experience and I hope to really learn from it while having a lot of fun doing it! I would definitely tell people they should check it out. It is certainly a great way to earn some extra money to pay those bills!
Laundry is never-ending
It seems like laundry just never ends. I go to do it and a day later, the basket is full of dirty clothes again! For some reason, it's the easiest thing to do but I just can't stand doing it. I don't know which part of it bugs me the most but it is definitely never-ending.... Some days I wish I could be like Jeannie on I Dream of Jeannie and just blink the clothes clean, lol.

Online Auto Loan
Online auto loans are great for finding one according to your credit. If you have bad credit, it is especially useful. Most online places will let you apply right then and within a day someone calls you. It doesn't take very long and they can get it all set up just as quick, if not quicker than going to your regular bank. I have had an auto loan for about a year now that I have gotten online. It is always easy for me because I can go online and find my account details and make payments. Go online and check out the bad credit auto loans!
Days off of work
Did you ever notice on your days off of work, you are swamped with things to do? It seems like every time I have a day off, I have some kind of stuff to do. I have tons of errands to run or bills to pay (yuck!). You all know how it goes! Anyway, someday I will have my Hawaii vacation I've been waiting for!
Cable Vs. Satellite
I got my cable hooked up the other day. It is so much better for me than satellite. The only downfall for cable is when the power goes out, it takes forever to come back on. I was impressed though because it has a lot more channels than it did three months ago. The kids channels are awesome. Satellite went out on us so much it was ridiculous. I don't miss it at all. For a new HD DVR instead of a regular DVR, it was going to cost me $200 plus another $10 a month. The price of television is bad enough but to have even more cost for a box is crazy!

My husband and his hunting gear!
Ok, my husbands birthday will be coming up soon. It's time to find OpticsPlanet online and start to order. He loves hunting and it's pretty much all I can get him every year because he's so picky. Sometimes I wish he would be that excited about getting ready to do stuff with me! I mean, how many times can you really clean a gun and how many do you need?? But....nothing can beat the look on his face when he opens his hunting gear I buy him. He is just like a little kid in a candy store!

Surviving Our Economy
Everyone know that times are hard these days, but there are still ways to try and get by. One rule that I always follow is, do not buy what you can not afford, and guess what it works. If I see something and it is totally out of my budget, just keep it moving! I hate using credit cards because chances are, if you can not pay cash, chances are you can not afford it. I try and live within my means, and guess what? We get by and still live comfortably. Its simple and it really help each day.
